A Great Father, Husband, and Son turns 30

I decided to have a party for Rhett this year. Rhett's sister Sommer and her family came all the way from Lehi to celebrate. Rhett's Mom and Dad came along with Mike and his two boys Braden and Tagen. We had Homeade Cafe Rio. The next day we had my family over for left overs.
Here are some things we love about Rhett!
1. Always makes time for us if we need something
2. Sings to us to be funny
3. Never shuts the door when he goes to the bathroom
4. Nate loves that he likes sports because he does too
5. Rhett is a ton of help now that we have three kids
6. Dad always lets the kids jump on him and play
7. He hangs out with us in the back yard and plays games
8. We get to eat lunch with him everyday
9. He never gets mad at us
10. He is always up for an adventure even if we get a flat tire just before heading up to bear lake.

Thanks Rhett for letting me give you a party and surprising you with your new marmot jacket!

Bailey and Lance

Bailey and Lance are finally starting to get to know each other. Bailey is still having a hard time but I think once she realizes that Lance is a fun playmate and not someone just here to take her Mommy away things will get better.

Nathan the big number 7

OUR GIFT FROM HEAVEN TURNS

SEVEN!!!!

Truly Nathan is our gift from heaven. The name Nathan means a gift from God and that is what he has been. His personality is magnetic and his love for life is contagious. It was so fun to have a party with friends for Nate. He had 11 friends show up and they all went bowling in their Halloween costumes. Nathan I love being your Mom and we are so glad you are in our family. You make us tired trying to keep up with you and when you are not around we wonder what we are going to do. Thanks for all the fun and games you bring into our lives.

fALL IN lOVE wITH fALL at St. George

LANCE'S FIRST SMILE

St George Trip

We hadn't been on a family vacation in such a long time so over conference weekend we had a little time to stay at Rhett's parents condo. We were so busy. I saw two plays at Tuachan theater, Rhett saw one with me. We went swimming with Tara and Darren's kidlings, we went hiking with Braden Tagen and g-ma Udy, we hiked to Dixie Rock, and went to Stahle Farms which was my favorite part because it is where I saw Lance's first smile. My other favorite part was having my first burger at 'In And Out Burger' Yummy, Yummy. The weather was so perfect we want to go back next year. Nathan loved the new bunk beds at the condo. He insisted on sleeping on the top bunk and Tagen slept on the other top bunk. I predict a broken arm from a child or umpire jumping of the top bunk jk.

toddler and 2 week old

I love how Bailey looks after her naps so I decided to take a picture of her right after her nap.

Bailey has been so funny with the arrival of her new brother. I wanted to record some of the funny things she has done.
-got into the resinol and spread it all over her body
-spilled baby powder all over her and the carpet
-dumped lotion all over the carpet
-took Lance's binkies outside to play with
-poked at Lance like he was one of her dolls
-begged me to lay with her every nap and bedtime
-daily tantrums and sassy behavior
-likes her dad alot more than she used to
-became potty trained and much more independent over night
I have been worried about Bailey but once Lance is older she will be happier. Some of my best memories of my childhood are hanging out with my little bro who was two years younger. Hopefully that is just around the corner. No more sleepless nights would be good too. I have never been so sleep deprived in my entire life!!

24th of juLy

This was our first family outing with a new baby and I think it went pretty good. Nate got a sack full of candy at the exciting Cache Valley Parade. So he was happy. Bailey got a couple of pieces of candy and made friends with another dog. You can see the dog in one of the pictures. Lance slept the entire time. We went to Willow Park and Nate climbed to the top of the climbing wall and Bailey went down a big blow up slide. The kids are so fun to watch. We even got a little summer rain but it was still pretty hot. We wished that we could have been boating, camping or watching Nate play baseball but this year we just stayed home with our new baby boy. With three children we really feel like a family now. Some people brought their dogs to the parade but we left ours home. To many individuals to worry about. Oh and Bailey almost got ran over by the LTD bus in the parade. She was going for candy and along came the big bus. Luckily we were paying attention!!

Our new baby BOY!

Cutest Baby in the nursery
Lance Grant Udy
Born-July 14th 2009
Time-5:50 pm
Weight-8 lbs. 8 oz
Length-20 1/2 inches
WE LOVE YOU LANCE!
I went to my doctors appointment on tuesday and he took one look at me and said I think it would be best if you had this baby today at 5:00pm. I did not hesitate but I was nervous. We went up to the hospital to check in and both Rhett and I had the jitters. The doctor was right on time and the nurses had me ready to go. The baby was born at 5:50 that evening. The doctor told me it was good I delivered sooner rather than later. He said my scar had thinned my uterus so much that it could have ruptured at any minute. When the uterus ruptures the baby loses oxygen and almost always has brain damage. I am so glad we are both okay. This was my one spontaneous delivery. All the others were scheduled. I guess it is fitting that the delivery be so spontaneous since our little guy also came to us so spontaneous. Just a little sooner than we thought but we are so happy he is here. Bailey and Lance are 25 months apart. I hope they can be the best of friends. I can't forget Nathan. I'm sure he will teach Lance all he needs to know about life. We are so grateful for our new little angel.
